Mariah Carey apparently no longer feels that she and husband Nick Cannon belong together...and part of the reason could very well be because of his ex-flame, Kim Kardashian.After divorce rumors about the couple started back up again, Nick has finally revealed to The Insider With Yahoo that he and Mariah are indeed going through a rough patch in their marriage. "There is trouble in paradise," he confirmed. "We have been living in separate houses for a few months."
It's been six years since the musical duo tied the knot - just like Beyoncé and Jay Z (same wedding month and everything!). But it looks like the Cannons are going to beat the Carters to the punch and call it quits first, especially since Bey's mom just called her daughter and son-in-law's union flawless.
So where does Kim K., who dated Nick briefly in 2006, come in? Well, word has it that the final straw for Mariah was when her rapper/actor hubby opened his big mouth and listed five celebs he's had sex with during a Los Angeles radio interview back in March. And
That wasn't the first time Nick spoke about his former lover-turned-reality star on the radio either.Back in 2012, he appeared on The Howard Stern Show and explained why Kim's now-infamous sex tape with singer Ray J led to their breakup. "This was my issue. We talked about this tape...And she told me there was no tape," Nick told his America's Got Talent co-star. "If she might have been honest with me I might have tried to hold her down and be like, 'That was before me' because she is a great girl."
Sounds like Nick still has love for Kim...and can't get her out of his mind since he keeps bringing her up.
While their separation clearly isn't Kim's fault, TMZ's sources say that Mariah "tore into into Nick for weeks [over the most recent confession]...feeling humiliated and the relationship never recovered."
Contrary to previous reports, Nick insists that he's never cheated on Mariah. And while he made no mention of an actual divorce, he did say that his main focus right now are his and Mariah's adorable children, 3-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe aka Roc and Roe (cute, right?!) aka "Dem Babies."
Mariah at least echoes Nick's sentiments about their kids through her publicist who stated: "I am not commenting on Mariah's personal life, but Mariah is focusing on her children and her upcoming tour."
