Right before the big national championship game against the Oregon Ducks Monday evening, the Ohio State Buckeyes found themselves faced with an obstacle they most definitely did not see coming: the players almost crushed one of their very own cheerleaders, Ally Nelson, as they charged the field.
Fox Sports reports that things got crazy when the fireworks went off and fans noticed that the second "O" flag in "Ohio," which was paraded across the field, was missing. "There was just a miscommunication and that's really what got it all started," Ally tried to explain. "That last flag just kind of tripped us all up."
Proving you can't keep a good cheerleader down, Ally got back up and escaped the chaos pretty much unscathed. "I managed to crawl out and I'm fine," she said. "I got stepped on a little bit, but I'm OK."
All in all, Ally had two things to celebrate that night: She wasn't injured AND the Buckeyes w-o-n, WON!
