It was an all-white-everything affair for
Solange Knowles' Sunday Wedding Day in New Orleans.
Following the
elevator scandal that rocked her notoriously private family in which Solo attacked brother-in-law
Jay Z, the 28-year-old singer made sure to end the year on a high note by saying "I Do" to 51-year-old music video director
Alan Ferguson, whom she dated for five years before he put a ring on it in June.
An icon in the fashion community, it came as no surprise that
Vogue had the exclusive to Solo's big day. Official wedding portraits by
Rog Walker revealed her breathtaking Humberto Leon for Kenzo gown.
And despite rumors of a strained relationship,
Beyoncé was by her sister's side, as seen in the very stylish, stone-faced photo above, which was a nod to the work of contemporary Italian artist
Vanessa Beecroft.
The bridal party also included mom
Tina Knowles, cousin
Angie Beyincé, singer
Janelle Monae and
Melina Matsoukas, a longtime pal who directed Bey and Jay's
star-studded "Part II (On the Run)" video.
Noticeably absent from the ceremony was sister-friend
Kelly Rowland of
Destiny's Child, who
gave birth to a son in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago; and father
Mathew Knowles, whose divorce from Tina was finalized in 2011, and who has since gotten remarried and hit with paternity suit after paternity suit.
"Everyone I worked with on the wedding are friends who I love," Solange told
Vogue. "Everything was a labor of love." According to the mag, the newlyweds walked down the aisle to
Donny Hathaway's, "I Love The Lord, He Heard My Cry." The night also included performances by musician friends
Kelela,
Questlove, and
Kindness, and a dance off to "No Flex Zone" between Solo and 10-year-old son
Julez.
Of course, the Beyhive was quick to post pics from the special day, including the blushing bride (in an ivory Stephane Rolland jumpsuit) and groom arriving to the ceremony on white-painted bicycles decorated with cream roses. Social media was also buzzing with pics of the Carters spotted just outside the venue.
Later in the evening, proud sis Bey posted a pic of the sharply dressed men on IG: Alan, Julez and Jay Z.
Last night, the couple rented out Indywood Cinema in the Big Easy and treated 50 of their closest family and friends, including a
makeup-free Beyonce (Jay Z and Blue sat out this festivity), to a pre-wedding screening of the movie the couple watched on their first date:
Mahogany, starring
Diana Ross.
"It was pretty adorable,"
Hayley Sampson, co-owner of the theater, told
People. "They were talking about how they met and that they bonded [over] this film and then showed everybody the movie."

Congrats to the Fergusons!
